Last week we got a glimpse of the New Balance 3D printing technology. We see here an exclusive track running shoe in white. The new process/ technology is called SLS (Selective Laser Sintering). “SLS uses biomechanical data, motion capture, high-speed video, advanced algorithms, specially-created software, and in-shoe sensors.” With the help of top notch athletes like Jenny Barringer Simpson, Kim Conley, Barbara Parker and of course Jack Bolas, New Balance uses SLS for testing, learning and excelling. We have yet to see this adapted into the general market but when it does happen you bet we will let you know.
